PRIVATE BRIEFINGS & ROUNDTABLES

Private Briefings.
One Room.
One Conversation Worth Having.

Closed-door briefings and roundtables for UK family office principals — at London's finest private dining rooms, members' clubs and five-star venues.

Picture a private dining room at a Mayfair address you would recognise. A private table. The kind of setting where the linen is pressed, the wine is considered and the room has seen serious conversations before. No screens. No lanyards. No one checking their phone.

At one end, a fund manager, a private equity partner or a specialist adviser who has spent a career building expertise in a single allocation theme — and who has been granted sixty uninterrupted minutes to share it with the most qualified audience they will ever address. At the other end, verified family office principals and CIOs, each present in a personal investment capacity, each with the kind of long-term capital and genuine decision-making authority that fund managers spend years trying to access.

The presentation ends. The questions begin. And because every word spoken in this room operates under Chatham House Rule — because nothing said here will appear in a marketing brochure or a conference report — the questions are the ones that actually matter.

This is what a UK Family Office Events Ltd private briefing is. Not a panel. Not a networking event. Not a conference session dressed up as something more intimate. A genuine closed conversation, curated from invitation to venue to guest list, between an expert who has earned the right to the room and investors who have earned the right to candour.

Every briefing is hosted at a venue selected for its discretion, its quality and the signal it sends before a word has been spoken — Mayfair townhouses, five-star hotel private dining rooms, private members' clubs in St. James's. Every guest list is personally curated and verified. Every session operates under Chatham House Rule throughout. No recording. No attribution. No filming. No notes that leave the room.

The result is the kind of direct, substantive engagement that neither side can find anywhere else.

BREAKFAST BRIEFING

The Morning Session

A focused 90-minute briefing over a private breakfast in a venue kept deliberately away from the public spaces of the hotel or club. The room is set before guests arrive. The agenda is tight. The conversation is concentrated. The breakfast format suits data-led content — macro outlook, asset class positioning, regulatory intelligence. Attendees arrive with their thinking fresh and their attention undivided. It is the most efficiently structured format we offer, and the one that most consistently produces the sharpest questions.

Mayfair · Belgravia · St. James's
LUNCH BRIEFING · MOST REQUESTED

The Anchor Format

Two hours at one of London's most distinguished private dining rooms. The presentation takes the first forty minutes. The table takes the rest. This is the format that generates the deepest conversations — because lunch, unlike breakfast, has nowhere it needs to be afterwards. The sponsors who return year after year to the UK Family Office Events Ltd programme almost all started here. The format works because the room has time to breathe, the conversation has space to deepen, and the relationships formed over two hours at a serious table last considerably longer than the meal itself.

Five-Star Hotel Dining Rooms · Private Members' Clubs · Historic London Addresses
DRINKS RECEPTION BRIEFING

The Early Evening Room

An early evening reception in a private London setting — lighter in format, broader in reach. The presentation is brief and the conversation ranges more freely than at a seated session. The format suits relationship-building, introducing a new strategy or perspective, or as a first step for organisations new to the briefing programme. Champagne. Canapés. A room of people who are genuinely pleased to be there. The informality is its own invitation to candour.

Private Members' Clubs · Mayfair Townhouses · West End Private Spaces
PRIVATE DINNER BRIEFING · PREMIUM

The Evening Event

A full private dinner at an address of genuine distinction. Wines selected and hosted. A table of no more than fourteen. The evening structured to move naturally from presentation to conversation to the kind of dialogue that only happens when people have been in a room together long enough to stop being careful. The private dinner format is the most consequential engagement available in the UK family office calendar. It is reserved for sponsors who understand that the relationship is the return — and who want the evening itself to be an event worth remembering.

CHATHAM HOUSE RULE — NON-NEGOTIABLE

Every UK Family Office Events Ltd private briefing operates entirely under Chatham House Rule. No recording. No attribution. No filming. No notes that leave the room.

This is not a compliance formality. It is the condition that makes the conversation worth having.

When principals know that their questions, their thinking and their portfolio concerns will not appear in a marketing brochure the following morning, they speak with the kind of candour that transforms a briefing into a genuinely valuable exchange. The Chatham House Rule is what makes this room categorically different from every other room available in the London market.

PRIVATE ROUNDTABLE · FREE TO PRINCIPALS

Asset Allocation Roundtable

No presentations. No slides. No agenda imposed from the front of the room. A structured peer conversation — a select group of principals, one facilitator, one allocation theme. The format that produces the most candid exchange available in the UK family office market, because every person at the table is a peer. Topics rotate across private market allocation, liquid alternatives, real assets, co-investment strategy and portfolio construction. The question that shapes every session: where is patient capital actually going — and why.

PRIVATE FORUM · FREE TO PRINCIPALS

Family Office Governance Forum

The questions that family office principals ask each other but rarely ask in public. Succession of the office itself. Multi-generational governance frameworks that survive the transition. FCA regulatory perimeter and the activities that trigger authorisation requirements without anyone realising. Key person risk when the key person is the principal. A closed, expert-led forum with structured peer discussion. The conversation that principals have been meaning to have — in the room where it is safe to have it.

Private Markets & Co-Investment Briefing

Direct co-investment. Private equity. Private credit. Real assets. Venture capital. The allocation questions that every family office CIO is navigating — and the deal flow, due diligence and fee structure realities that are rarely discussed in public. A closed briefing led by a single specialist with genuine expertise in one allocation theme. No competing voices. No panel dilution. One perspective, presented with the depth it deserves, to an audience with the capital and the authority to act on it.

Cybersecurity & AI Briefing

43% of family offices have been attacked. 62% of those managing $1 billion or more have been attacked. The threat is not theoretical and it is not generic — it is targeted, personalised and increasingly AI-enabled. Deepfake voice calls impersonating principals. Phishing emails that pass human detection. Wire transfer fraud through compromised email chains. A closed technical briefing that goes beyond the headline statistics and into the specific vulnerabilities, attack vectors and defensive architectures that matter for family offices — followed by a candid conversation about what each principal in the room has actually experienced.

TAX-AWARE INVESTING

The Most Urgent Conversation
in UK Family Office Wealth in 2027

The UK tax landscape for family offices has changed more fundamentally between 2024 and 2026 than in the previous two decades combined. Agricultural and Business Property Relief has been capped. The non-domicile regime has been abolished. AIM shares no longer qualify for full BPR. The Temporary Repatriation Facility window closes permanently after 2027/28. Tax-aware investing is no longer a planning nicety. It is the central discipline of UK family office wealth management in 2027.

IN FORCE FROM 6 APRIL 2026

APR & BPR Relief — Capped at £2.5m

From 6 April 2026, the 100% IHT relief on combined Agricultural Property Relief and Business Property Relief is capped at £2.5 million per individual. Assets above this threshold receive only 50% relief — an effective 20% IHT rate on the excess. AIM and EIS shares reduced from 100% to 50% BPR. Couples can combine allowances to shelter up to £5 million.

IN FORCE FROM 6 APRIL 2025

Non-Dom Abolished — FIG Regime Active

The UK non-dom regime was abolished on 6 April 2025 — replaced by the four-year Foreign Income and Gains (FIG) regime for those with 10+ years of prior non-residence. After four years, worldwide taxation applies. The TRF allows pre-2025 foreign income and gains to be remitted at 12% in 2026/27, rising to 15% in 2027/28. This window closes permanently.

IN FORCE FROM 6 APRIL 2025

Offshore Trust Protections — Removed

Previously protected offshore trusts no longer shield foreign income and gains from UK tax for UK resident settlors and beneficiaries. Income and gains arising in protected trusts before 6 April 2025 are now taxable to the extent matched against worldwide trust distributions or benefits. Offshore trust restructuring is now an urgent priority.

IN FORCE FROM 6 APRIL 2025

IHT Now Residence-Based — Not Domicile

The domicile-based IHT system has been replaced with a long-term residence test. Principals resident in the UK for more than 10 of the previous 20 tax years are potentially subject to UK IHT on worldwide assets. Cross-border estate planning is now a matter of urgency for any principal with international asset exposure.
